Contemporary Classes for Kids and Teens in Walton-on-Thames

Our contemporary dance classes give young dancers the chance to explore movement with freedom, creativity, and expression. Blending elements of ballet, modern, and lyrical dance, contemporary is the perfect style for building strength, flexibility, and artistry in a fun and supportive space.

We offer two classes on Wednesdays at All Saints Church Hall in Hersham:

• Contemporary 1 (Age 7+, 5.15–6.00pm) – A dynamic introduction to contemporary dance where students learn fundamental techniques, floor work, and creative improvisation.

• Contemporary 2 (Approx Age 13+, 6.00–6.45pm, ability dependent) – For more experienced dancers ready to challenge themselves with advanced sequences, expressive performance, and choreographic exploration.

Our contemporary classes encourage individuality and self-expression while also developing strong technical foundations. Dancers are supported to grow at their own pace, gaining confidence, creativity, and a deeper connection to movement.
